IT consulting · Time and materials

IT consultants in Brussels, for exactly as long as your project needs.

Project managers, service desk, infrastructure and security profiles on a time-and-materials basis: you pay for the days worked, we select the consultant and follow up the assignment.

The problem

A project starting, a team already at capacity.

A migration to run, a six-month absence to cover, a spike in service desk tickets: the need is real, but temporary. Hiring for a need with an end date means months of recruitment for a role that has no reason to exist once the project is over.

Going through a freelance platform means sorting through dozens of profiles yourself, without knowing who has really done what they claim, or who will replace them if they leave halfway.

The need is temporary, the risk of a wrong choice isn't. Bringing in a consultant gives you flexibility, without the gamble.

In practice

How an assignment works

A written framework from the start, and follow-up until the last day of the assignment.

  1. 01

    Scoping the assignment

Role, duration, working language, on-site presence, start date: we agree with you on what the assignment really requires.

  2. 02

    Shortlisted profiles

You only meet pre-selected profiles, each with an honest summary of their strengths and limits.

  3. 03

    Contract and start

A framework agreement sets the day rate, the duration and the terms for taking the consultant on permanently. You are billed for the days worked.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

Regular check-ins with you and with the consultant. If the collaboration goes off track, we arrange a replacement rather than waiting for the contract to end.

Why us

A consultant we know

  1. A network built on the ground

Our consultants come from a network built in financial institutions and the public sector, not from a purchased CV database.

  2. Assessed by practitioners

We deliver IT projects ourselves: we can recognise a good project manager or engineer, and spot an embellished CV.

  3. Clear terms from day one

Rate, duration, notice and take-over terms are written into the framework agreement. Nobody discovers them at the end of the assignment.

Frequently asked questions

Usually an answer within one working day. For anything urgent, call: it is faster than an email.

How does hiring an IT consultant on a time-and-materials basis work?

The consultant remains under contract with us and works on your project for an agreed period. You are billed for the days worked, with no recruitment and no change to your headcount. It suits any need with an end date: a project, a migration, a replacement or a peak in workload.

How is this different from hiring a freelancer?

With a freelancer, you contract directly with a self-employed professional: it's up to you to check their background, manage the contract and find someone else if they leave. Through us, selection, contract, follow-up and any replacement are handled for you, with a single point of contact.

How quickly can a consultant start?

For a common profile and a well-defined assignment, the first profiles are usually presented within one to two weeks. Rare profiles, such as security or ERP, take longer. The timing also depends on the chosen consultant's availability: we tell you before you commit.

Do your consultants work in English?

Yes. We place consultants who work in English, French or Dutch, and many of them in all three. The working language is set when we scope the assignment, because it narrows the pool of available profiles considerably.

What if the consultant isn't the right fit?

We raise it at the first signs, during the follow-up check-ins. If the collaboration isn't working, we arrange a replacement rather than letting the assignment drift until it ends.

Does the consultant work on site or remotely?

Whatever suits your organisation: on site, hybrid or remote. The level of on-site presence is set during scoping, because it affects both the choice of profile and the day rate.
